My name is Vera and I’m 7 years old. When I would run, jump or play sports, my heart would beat very fast and my chest would hurt. I told my Mom, Dad and doctor and they learned that one of my blood tunnels was growing from the wrong side of my heart. Two nice surgeons fixed the tunnel so now I can run, jump and play sports without pain. I am very happy that my heart and its tunnels are fixed. I am making sure my heart stays healthy by eating healthy foods, drinking lots of water and exercising.
I’m excited to raise money for the American Heart Association so they can make new medicines and learn new ways to fix more kids’ hearts that don’t work exactly right. Thank you American Heart Association!
